Comfort zones stifle life. Well at least they do for me. Getting past the fear of doing something uncomfortable stops many people from personally growing. It comes back to the “no pain, no gain” mentality.
For instance, if you are a bodybuilder and don’t push past the pain of doing extra repetitions in the weight room, you will never gain muscle to put you on top. Another analogy is enduring the pain of a terminal illness but gaining spiritually thus knowing and understanding your final goal. Of course, this would be getting to heaven or achieving nirvana and going to a better place when you die.
We all get out of being comfortable at different points in our life, but how we handle it will make us or break us. Sometimes experiences are too challenging and getting out of a comfort zone is an opportunity for learning. Yet, we must get past the fear of knowing something might be unpleasant, but we still should try.
Comfort Zones Stifle Life but Getting Past Fear Will Do Us Good
Have you ever taken the easy way out? Yes, I know I have on many occasions. There are times we must get out of that and push beyond our limits. The biggest fear we have is that of failure. If we stay in the mindset of never trying then we don’t get the chance of failing. Success requires a series of failures, and if we stay comfortable and never attempt something, then we ultimately fail.
No matter what your goals are, you must push yourself each day to get better. Otherwise, there will be someone else who achieves what you should have achieved. Doing better or succeeding requires pain and endurance. If you always remain comfortable, then you have no room to grow or succeed.
Your comfort zones stifle life, but it is up to you to get out of it and make your life the way it ought to be, which is one of victory and evolution.
